  • Helped develop and launch Camp Thirlby, The Thirlby's sibling site focused on sharing the stories of youth and Gen Z
  • Seek, lead, and edit both one-time and regular contributing writers and artists for the platform
  • Write original short-form and long-form stories for the site, mostly focusing on LGBTQ+ topics, gender, sexuality, and media/culture
  • Brainstorm, develop, and assign timely pitches and series that follow and expand Camp Thirlby's voice
  • Manage all content by scheduling the editorial calendar


Editorial Intern at The Thirlby | January 2019—present
  • Pitch and write original stories for the inclusive health and wellness editorial site
  • Seek contributors for Camp Thirlby, the sibling site for and by young voices
  • Work directly with the editor-in-chief to research pitches, develop the editorial calendar, and produce a bi-weekly newsletter
